Matthew Saunders is a UK-registered architect (ARB, RIBA) with over 30 years of international experience in healthcare, commercial, residential, and hospitality design. Over the past two decades, his focus has been healthcare, where he has led masterplans, tertiary hospitals, specialist centres, laboratories, and homes for elder care and learning disabilities.

He has worked with major global firms including HOK, RTKL, Broadway Malyan, B+H, and MJ Medical, as well as serving as an advisor to the UK Department of Health. Since 2020, Matthew has collaborated with MPN + Partners on projects such as the Mayo Clinic Masterplan in the US and Hong Ngoc Hospital in Vietnam. His expertise spans feasibility studies, service planning, stakeholder engagement, and complex project delivery, often pioneering early adoption of BIM and sustainable design.

A certified LEED AP since 2007 and qualified in Retrofit Coordination (PAS2035), Matthew integrates sustainability and innovation into all stages of design. He has contributed to publications and conferences worldwide and undertaken pro-bono healthcare work in Cambodia. His client list includes the Mayo Clinic, UCLH, Changi General Hospital, Kings College Hospital Dubai, and Parkway Pantai.
